My name is Ali, and I’m the chef and founder of Saigon Bistro. I’m not Vietnamese myself, but I’ve been blessed to learn deeply about Vietnamese culture and cuisine through my wife, who is Vietnamese.
Overtime, my love for cooking and my desire to bring something truly special to Ottawa led me to create this restaurant—a place where the vibrant flavors of Vietnamese cooking are prepared with care and served with heart, in full respect of Halal values.

From day one, my goal has been to offer something different—a dining experience that honors the spirit of Vietnamese food while welcoming the tastes and needs of a diverse, multicultural community. As the only fully certified Halal Vietnamese restaurant in Ottawa, we take pride in offering food that is both rich in flavor and prepared with integrity.

Saigonz is more than just a Halal restaurant. It’s a gathering place—where locals and travelers, Muslims and non-Muslims, families and friends all come together around a bowl of something meaningful.
